Paula Update

Yesterday (October 8, 2020) Paula was greeted by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 5:45am (Eastern Daylight Time). I want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern for Paula. My heart breaks for Mike, Katie and Chris and I would ask that you would pray for them when the Lord brings them to mind.

Father God, I do not know how to pray. I have no words. Lord God, I ask that Your Presence comfort the Weimer family. Help Mike to have strength and patience with his children while processing his own grief. Lord God, thank You for this reader and for their support and prayers for the Weimer family. We praise You Lord that “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved” (Rom 10:9-10 ESV). Thank You Jesus that for those of us who call on Your Name death is not the final answer. Thank You Jesus that for those who belong to You have life in You now and for eternity. Amen.

  1. “Father God we are so thankful for your compassion on us your children, in this you reassure us of our eternal home with you when we leave this life. We are thankful for Paula our sister who now resides with you pain free. Almighty God throw your cloak of comfort about her family, that in their grief they will know peace and that their separation from Paula is for a short time. Extend your everlasting comfort to those who knew Paula as a neighbour, colleague or friend. In this time of sorrow we surrender our all to You, that we might glorify You and share Your Love daily. Amen.”

    1. Mike said, “we left the room and when we returned she was smiling. That’s my Paula. Although, maybe she Heaven and that’s why.” I agree 100% that Paula knows more about the strength of God’s grip! Love, hugs and blessings to you, Alan!

  3. 1 Corinthians 12:26
“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” Paula’s family and all she touched including you Mandy, were in my prayers.

    1. Thanks, brother. It is sad. Paula’s viewing is Monday, funeral Tuesday and her burial is Wednesday. She will be buried at Fort Indiantown Gap which is an Army National Guard instillation. I will for sure be at her burial if not the funeral. I am thankful for you, Nancy and your girls. Y’all are constantly in our prayers!

    1. Annie, I ask myself this daily! Praise Jesus for His presence in our lives and for those who don’t know Him may today be the day of repentance and new life! Will you have an interactive halloween display this year?! Lots of love, hugs and blessings!

      1. Thanks for asking, Tammy. We haven’t had our Halloween outreach for several years, but I have written a book about it in the hope that others will “catch the vision” and do similar outreaches in other places. Its publication has been delayed too long to be available before this Halloween. However, I am always saying that God is in control, and His timing is perfect. Lately it has occurred to me that this year has not been “normal” and would not be a good year for anyone to try an outreach. If the book had come out this year, people would only have an entire year to lose their enthusiasm. :/ Right now my target date for publication is next spring, hoping it will inspire outreaches for Halloween 2021..

  7. Responding to your comment on my post: I know what you mean by rabbit trail, the biggest rabbit trails for my reading this year has been on books that touch on economics as it led me to find out more and each page took so long!!!

    1. Thank you, Alicia. Nathan and I are on our way to Paula’s funeral. We live 2.5 hours away. It’s all surreal. We went out to visit the family on Saturday and God is indeed gracious and merciful. Thank you for sharing about the “loud and annoying” that was good for my soul! Thank you for your time! Love, hugs and blessings!

      1. Continued prayers for you all, it’s been a tough year for all but then those who’ve experienced friend/family loss and have that extra weight breaks my heart even more so.
