July 2021 Prayer

Lord God, thank You for this new month. Lord God, You are revealing minds, hearts and actions and we, Your Bride are lacking. Lord God, the tide of scandals, apostasy and hypocrisy abound. Lord God, remind Your people that You hate plagiarism! Lord God, impress on us that while only You are the keeper of the faith, the keeper of Your Word, that we are to cite and quote Your Word and others work properly.

Lord God, instill in Your people a desire to bring You glory rather than division. Lord God, in this new month help us to live more for You and less for ourselves. Lord God, Satan’s lies are like the tide. Help us Lord to discern Satan’s lies so that we will not get caught in the under current of sin and drag others under with us.

Lord God, thank You that Your mercies are new each morning. May we begin each day this month thanking and praising You for Your grace and mercy. Lord God, may we come to love and serve You more this month. May we be a people who let their light shine before people because Jesus is the Light of the World.

Lord God, thank You for this reader. Lord God, use this reader to bring You glory. Lord God, for the reader who does not know Christ, Lord may they come to know You while there is still time. Lord God, for our family members and loved ones who are uninterested in hearing the Gospel from us, stir in us a need to pray, sending others in their lives whom they may hear. Now more than ever Lord do we need to be about Your business rather than the world’s business.

Lord God, thank You again for this reader. Fill this reader with the peace of Your Presence. Lord God, manifest Your Fruit in this reader’s life more this month. In Jesus’s Awesome, Holy and Powerful name I pray. Amen.

      1. Just seen this now Mandy, been out babysitting our grandson today. Susan is in great shape now after her operation, she is enjoying food again. My knees are better now but my elbow joints are still causing me a lot of problems and pain. If the Tendonitis doesn’t heal soon I am looking at steroid injections, lovely. Thank you for your encouragement and care for us, God bless you sister.

      2. Wonderful to hear about Susan and I’m sure being with your grandson is good for your being! I will pray that you feel better and won’t need injections. I’ve had them in my right knee and my right shoulder. I am thankful for your care and encouragement for Nathan and I as well!

      1. After my core prayer a few minutes ago, I started reciting your prayer and I noticed the word plagiarism and reckon that Mandy must have a story here. Still praying for your brother that he will be interested and accept the Gospel; praying for your patience too. My second dose/out of the house thing will be on July 13 and I only shared it with you, Jim, and the Bible Study group a week ago. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your family!

      1. Love you too, Mandy. We’re actually getting lots of rain! The weather here is as odd for us as it is for many of you in the north. We’re enjoying it though. I hope you and your hubby (and dog) are well and staying cool!

  1. Amen, praying with you Mandy. As you and all that join you pray for this reader I pray for you. God is using your faithfulness. I see my needs and desires as I pray, study, reflect and meditate with you. So much edifacation and encouragement here. His Word, His Glory and the comments of those faithful to the call help to keep the focus. I am truly blessed to be this reader.

      1. Thank you, Mandy. Big issues are going on with the granddaughter who had covid recently while she delivered a baby. Health wise she is much better, but spiritually — much prayer is needed for her and her three small children. My husband and stepdaughter are in Arizona now, doing all they can to help.

      2. Good morning, Mandy. So sorry, I was about to answer your question about the children’s father last night, when I was interrupted by a phone call, then another phone call. Anyway, thank you for asking, I don’t consider it prying at all. Knowing the answer will give you something more specific to pray about. The father of Sarah’s three children is a boyfriend she has had for the past nine years. He is an alcoholic and a drug addict. He is periodically violent with Sarah. He is often unfaithful to her. Sarah works, he does not. Sarah has left him many times, but she keeps going back to him. We have just learned that he will smoke meth right in front of the children. It’s a mess.

The good news is that a wonderful worker with the Arizona Child Protection Services is now involved. CPS would not allow Sarah to take her new baby home, until a CPS worker first inspected Sarah’s apartment to be sure it is safe for children. Sarah immediately called her baby daddy and told him CPS was on the way, and he immediately cleared his drug stash out of the apartment before the worker got there. However, the CPS person noticed that there was a pet rattlesnake in the apartment, in an aquarium, which is not only deadly dangerous to have around children, it is illegal. So the snake was removed, before Sarah and the baby were allowed to leave the hospital.

Yesterday, my stepdaughter, Sarah’s mom, spent hours with the CPS worker at Sarah’s apartment. My stepdaughter, who is a Christian, told me she likes this woman very much, she is very thorough and caring, and my stepdaughter is now very hopeful that Sarah and the children will be safe.

Thank you so much for caring, Mandy, and especially for praying!

  2. Good prayer; the importance of Christian integrity in ministry is important. How we need His grace. I also appreciate your prayer for those who are not interested with the Gospel, that we pray that we pray for them!

      1. We had an amazing time with Leeann and she says she had an amazing time with us! We will be in FL for Thanksgiving so we will get together then. I can’t thank you and Nancy enough for allowing me to be a part of TCAC. I am humbled beyond words. To see Leeann excited about trying new things was such a gift. She loves the Lord and He is shining through her!

      2. That moved me that you guys got to show her so much hospitality. And hearing that Nathan talked to her about the military and servicembers who died moves me very much emotionally, and I’m glad he had that talk with her. Thinking of service members that died has kept me going in the military in some of the dark or long days in uniform.
