September 2021 Prayer

Lord God, teach us in this new month to be Your watchmen. Lord God, help us to warn people that sin has consequences. Lord God, now more than ever stir our hearts to share Jesus with others. Lord God, in this new month may we be vigilant in reading and applying Your Word.

Lord God, help Your people to see the larger spiritual battle that is around us and not just the physical, political battle(s). Lord God, help us this month to be focused on advancing Your Kingdom. Lord God, You know better than us how evil, wicked and sin sick this world is. Help us Lord to discipline ourselves and depend more on You.

Lord God, as geopolitical shifts occur daily, may we take comfort knowing that You are stable and constant; moving world events on Your timeline. Help us to embrace that Your time schedule is not our time schedule, that Your ways and thoughts are not our ways and thoughts. May we hold everything we read and hear up to the light of Scripture. Lord God, grow us in wisdom and discernment this month!

Lord God, may we seek ways to do good in this new month. May we love our families and friends more this month knowing that time is short and precious. Lord God, thank You for the gift of this new month. Thank You Lord for allowing us to live in this specific time period. Lord God, each day Your Word comes to life more. May we not be scared by current events. May we not be sinfully angry and outraged at how Your Name and people are being persecuted. May we pray more than ever before. This life is not our own. For those who are in Christ Lord we belong to You. Help us to live for You more this month and not for ourselves. Lord God, help us to wrestle with the question, “is Jesus enough?”

Lord God, be with Christians who are suffering and being persecuted all over the world. Lord God, strengthen our brothers and sisters to not renounce Christ. Lord God, be with our brothers and sisters in the Middle East and the surrounding region. Lord God, be with our brothers and sisters in Asia and Africa who are suffering horrific atrocities for Your Name’s sake. Lord, may we never stop praying for those who are murdered and killed for their faith in Christ.

Lord God, help us to be salt and light in this new month. Help us to pray like never before. Help us to not bury our heads in the sand. Please Lord I ask again for You to teach us to be watchmen, seeking Your return and not being afraid to call out sin. Lord God, help us to glorify You more this month.

Lord God, thank You for this reader. Fill this reader with the peace of Your presence. Where there is anxiety Lord I pray You will give this reader calm. Where there is uncertainty, I ask Lord that You will give this reader clarity. Where there is fear Lord I ask that You give this reader confidence. Where there is discontentment, I ask Lord that You will fill this reader with gratitude. Lord God, thank You again for this new month. Praise You that You are God and we are not. Holy Trinity, lead us, teach us and guide us this month. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

      1. The Andy Murray thing is a growing problem for sure, there are many players now saying the same things as Andy about his opponent. Whether the ATP has the guts to do anything is a good question. Having said all that, I think Andy’s reaction was a bit over the top, but that is Andy.

      2. Andy never fails to deliver fiery reactions! My mom and I went to the US Open for ten years and thought about getting tickets for this tournament. Today is Pride Day at the Open and this is so wicked and pagan. My mom is here with me and we were talking that if we had tickets for today that we absolutely would not go. While we love tennis, we love Jesus more. If you’re interested, here’s the article https://www.usopen.org/en_US/news/articles/2021-08-16/us_open_to_celebrate_lgbtq_community_on_pride_day.html

      1. It’s been a difficult few months, really difficult. In terms of fitness my Dr’s tell me I’m a 1%-er. Which is encouraging. I was supposed to already have posted an update, haven’t gotten to it yet 😕 but I will 🙏🏻🙏🏻 You’re post is extremely timely, God’s providence rocks 😍

  2. Beautiful post and prayer, Mandy.
September is my favorite month, and I always recognize there are Jewish holy and holiday celebrations this month, such as: Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur. In these difficult and horrendously dangerous Last Days, our eyes should be on Israel and what Christ warned us of in Matthew chapter 24. Things are happening fast. May we all have strength and courage to stand our ground. God bless you and all those who read your blog and are trusting in Jesus our Savior. I invite everyone to visit my website that holds the invitation to get my riveting End Time book: “Hidden in Irish Hills”. I am amazed how God led me to consider moving forward with this book, and how the message of survival was given to me to create this novel for such a time as this. I always hesitate to talk about my book, but I am convinced that we are living in the very Last Days of the Church Age. There are several messages in this novel, and a special word from me at the end.
Thank you Mandy, and blessings to you and all God’s people throughout the world.

    1. Thank you for sharing this, Mary! Last night at Bible Study my prayer request was for the peace of Jerusalem. I agree about living in the end times. God is on the move and I pray we cling to Him more than the things of this world. I am thankful for being on this journey with you! How is your sciatica? Love, hugs and blessings pretty lady!

  3. Amen, great prayer for the month. Thanks for you faithfulness in posting these.

This rings true: “Lord God, help us this month to be focused on advancing Your Kingdom.”

There seem to be so many distractions in terms of what is going on in the world. Our focus needs to be on the kingdom (reign) of God.

    Blessings.

  4. I imagine being in a prayer meeting with you as I read this. I hope someday we get the chance to pray in person together. Thank you for sharing these. They are encouraging and convicting. So God-centered too. May God grant these requests!

  5. “May we take comfort knowing that You are stable and constant” – Yes! The only constant thing about this world is that it’s constantly changing – minute by minute, it seems. It’s so important for us to remember that God is THE True North and the Anchor of our souls. Blessings to you!

      1. Many people have died in the north east so sad. “Turn around don’t drown” is a for real statement. People drive through flooded areas and die all the time. Nathan just said he had six cars in the shop today all from people trying to drive through water they shouldn’t be driving through. 2 will be totaled because water came through the car’s window.

  6. Mandy, that was beautiful and so encouraging. Yours is the second blog post in a row that I read on the subject of trusting the Lord in these difficult times. Your whole prayer was beautiful, but that was the part that stood out to me the most. Thank you so much for the prayer and for sharing it with the rest of us. Sue

  7. Responding to your comment: We are doing well! Had my dad come over then later in afternoon my sister in law came over and now we are going to get either Thai or Hong Kong style food for dinner! I remember you did travel over Asia to eat food of these kinds when you were younger!
