Blue Collar Theologian

My name is Mandy Sweigart-Quinn, I live in Lancaster, PA and I am a “Blue Collar Theologian.” I love Jesus! I am passionate about His Word (The Holy Bible)! I come alive when I can encourage others in their walk with Jesus (whether by writing or speaking). As a “Blue Collar Theologian” it is my aim to live/practice/work out my Christian hope with sincerity, authenticity and genuineness. As a “Blue Collar Theologian,” I strive to meet people right where they are (“Incarnational Theology”). I graduated in May 2019 from Capital Seminary and Graduate School with a Master's in Biblical Studies. I am a passionate, excited and enthusiastic person! I love flowers, sports and sunsets. Since January 2, 2018 I have had the privilege of being married to Nathan.

  1. Mandy! Is that you? What a nice voice you have! You’re on a lake fishing for Stripers, wow. I will look up Stripers right now to see what you’re catching.
Have a great weekend, Nathan too, and post some action clips, reeling them in! 😀

  2. Mandy, it is high time for a YouTube Channel we’ve been talking about a year ago! All the fun on fishing! Still, I’m reminded of Planty when it comes to fishing. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your family!

    1. Kent!!!!!! I made a selfie video, Nathan thought it was great, I thought it was terrible and he said you would like it! I’ll try to email it to you and get your take and if it’s alright I’ll add it to my reflections post that I’m sure I will have!

      1. Achy!!! 🦴🦴🦴Oh them bones! But the Lord is good. Just been reading this prayer from Valley of Vision (Puritan prayer collection):
        MY DEAR LORD,

I can but tell thee that thou knowest
I long for nothing but thyself,
        nothing but holiness,
nothing but union with thy will.
Thou hast given me these desires,
and thou alone canst give me the thing desired.
My soul longs for communion with thee,
        for mortification of indwelling corruption,
        especially spiritual pride.
        How precious it is
to have a tender sense and clear apprehension
        of the mystery of godliness,
        of true holiness!
What a blessedness to be like thee
as much as it is possible for a creature
        to be like its Creator!
        Lord, give me more of thy likeness;
        Enlarge my soul to contain fullness of holiness;
Engage me to live more for thee.
Help me to be less pleased with my spiritual
        experiences,
and when I feel at ease after sweet communings,
teach me it is far too little I know and do.
        Blessed Lord,
let me climb up near to thee,
and love, and long, and plead, and wrestle
        with thee,
and pant for deliverance from the body of sin,
for my heart is wandering and lifeless,
and my soul mourns to think it should ever
        lose sight of its Beloved.
Wrap my life in divine love,
and keep me ever desiring thee,
always humble and resigned to thy will,
        more fixed on thyself,
that I may be more fitted for doing
        and suffering.

      2. Dora, I am praying for your bones (couldn’t help but think of this!!! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pYb8Wm6-QfA). Also, I have been thinking A LOT about rereading the Valley of Vision and this confirms it!!! Amen and Amen! “Be more fitted for doing and suffering”’is something we would be wise to ask God to prepare us for. I love your passion for the Lord’s Word! For prayer! For the things of eternity rather than the here and now! Also, we just saw there was “unrest” in your area yesterday and possibly still today. Hope you are ok. Selfishly, I am curious what US attention it will get. LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!!

      3. Love you so much too, Mandy, I feel our Lord has knot our hearts together in Him. We’re far enough away from the environmentalist protests to not worry. I did hear the anti-fossil fuel activists broke into the Dept. of Interior, injuring many policemen. This winter is going to be rough in so many ways. Praying for our nation and the twenty percent of the nation’s households that lost all their savings during the covid shutdowns. May God have mercy.

      1. Thank you. I also forgot to mention how much of my time is spent working on video content on my days off too. I am helping a member of my church with promoting his new book on Men’s Health. Filming videos for his website for the book. And another video I will be making with a pastor from my church
