While this is 39lbs smaller than what Nathan is looking for, a baby fish is better than no fish! No worries, this fish has been set free to grow and mature for the next angler!
Lord God, thank You for the opportunity to fish in the rain. You do not call us to sunny and moderate conditions but You call us to evangelize and disciple in the midst of sinful humanity’s sin and brokenness. Lord God, teach us that what looks small if You are in it can grow beyond what we can even begin to think or comprehend.
Lord God, thank You for this reader! Thank You for their encouragement, support and kindness toward me. Lord God, fill this reader with the Peace of Your Presence. Stir their heart to call others and help others grow in Christ while there is still time. May we keep putting ourselves out in this world as salt and light even though the conditions and climate literally and metaphorically are getting more difficult. Thank You again Lord for this reader. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.
Wow wow wow! Great theology there! Wonderful lesson, fishing in the rain! That will preach! 😊

This is why I love you! You can find joy on every situation! You are a bright, shining light! “Fishing in the rain” also sounds like a great title to a country western song!

Truth be told, I have snow pants in my bag in the event it really starts to rain or get “cold” and the low today where I’m at is 50f. I would never make it in your area after September and before June!

I have a box in my car with different clothes, granola bars, TP, and a Bible, just in case.

Amen 🙏🏽. A wonderful lesson – fishing in the rain, does not sound ideal but life often isn’t. And when God leads every fishing line, it is never a waste.

Thank you for praying with me! I will be honest (will write on this tomorrow as well) I am now wearing waterproof snow pants and two under armor tops with a sweatshirt. I’m hoping to make it to 4pm before my last layer. The things we do for those we love!!!

Yep. Fishing conditions are rarely perfect. My dad, an avid bass fisherman, used to say the north wind started to blow when he even talked about going fishing. He was a “Glass half full” person. But you are not! 🎵Fishing in the rain. I’m fishing in the rain. What a wonderful feeling. I’m happy again.🎵

Amen! Yes, what looks small can always grow with God! Reminded me of the small cloud that Elijahs servent saw that eventually became a huge cloud bringing much rain. Great reminder lesson Mandy 🙂

Thanks for sharing of the fish! To me it doesn’t look small! It looks big enough to cook and fry and eat lol. What a lesson you brought to bear though spiritually. Makes me want to evangelize reading this

Praise God for wanting to evangelize! If you think it would be useful to the youth as a reminder or your teaching on Mark 1 feel free to share!!!! Are you still preaching on Ephesians 5?!

Was there a coin in his mouth? (The fish, not Nathan’s.)

Ha! There was no coin but love that imagery when Jesus told Peter to pay the tax! I have been thinking of you and your mama a lot lately. Never forget, you are not alone!
