Fire

Nathan and I are having a fire this evening. There is a family (den) of foxes who live near our neighbor’s shed. So far in a span of 20 minutes two rabbits have met their shrieking demise. I am very sad about this; however, Nathan has no problem telling me, “this is how God intended it!”

Life is costly. Life is in the blood. I am thankful for Jesus’s shed blood for me. I am thankful that I will not know the fire of hell but rather the joy of Heaven.

For the reader who doesn’t know Christ may today be the day of salvation.

Lord God, thank You that these rabbits deaths were quick. Lord, may believers never forget that life is costly and that freedom is not free. Lord God, may we seek You today. Lord, light this reader’s heart on fire for You so that their love for You will be known in this dark and hurting world. Lord, You know this world is burning. Lord, may we take Jude’s admonition to heart, snatching and rescuing people from the fire while there is still time. Lord, thank You for this reader. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

  1. The shrieks would bother me too. How fragile life is! How much we need to pray for the unsaved in our lives! Praying this prayer with you with thanksgiving and praise, for our trust and our hope is in the LORD alone! Enjoy the fire, Mandy, this beautiful autumn night. 🧡❤️🙏🥰🧡

  2. Awwwwwe, life is so precious. When I first saw the fire I looked so quick that all I saw was the image of a cross. I pray every day for the salvation of lost souls. You, Nathan and PQ enjoy the warmth 🤗

  3. I agree with both of you. My sister sends me videos sometimes of rabbits being attacked in her backyard and it is horrible! The shrieks! It kills me to think of it. This isn’t really how God intended it, it’s the way it has to be for now. If animals didn’t eat each other they would eat up every scrap of food there is for humans. And because they multiply much faster than we do we would be overrun by animals in no time. So, it’s a necessary process that God put into place until all things are redeemed and made new.

      1. She stops when the shrieking starts. She only films because the predators are literally only about 6 feet away (on the other side of her window) and they’re beautiful. Sometimes they’re raptors, sometimes bobcats, you never know what’s gonna show up. It’s cool to watch up until they catch the prey, but she usually doesn’t show that part. Sometimes she doesn’t stop it fast enough and I hear a second or so before it shuts off.

      1. I am doing good Mandy. It is Saturday morning here and a lovely sunny day. Gearing up to help hubby out in the garden. I am not much of a greenie, he is. But I am his number 1 assistant 😁

  4. I see the give and take of nature all the time, hunt and fish and kill to live off the land. But I still mourn the condition of it all. I still love the thrill of the hunt in the woods and on the water. We were not created for the current ways of nature or even the nature within us. That is where we live and even Solomon acknowledged there is a time to mourn and a time to kill…and a time to look into and enjoy the fire while the foxes are eating at the rabbits expense.

      1. Mandy, thank you too for the encouragement my friend! I really appreciate! Yes! We have to continue sharing GOD’s offer of Salvation in JESUS CHRIST to the world in any media that is available that we can use. May GOD bless and inspire you further in enlightening us the meaning and background of the series of verses. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your parents!

      1. Thanks, Mandy! Hope the class was a blessing! One of our local radio personalities who I enjoy listening to is a huge Penn State fan and always talking PS football.
Yup, had to start wearing my winter jacket for the morning commute.

  5. I had to search “shrieking rabbits” to appreciate what you’re hearing. 😵 I would find that unbearable! It is the order of things since man fell away from God, bringing suffering, death, and grief.
When staying with a village family in Armenia, often times the animal that bahhed in my window early morning was set upon the dinner table in the evening.
But hearing screams of anguish from man or animal testifies of our fallen world. But soon….the rabbit will lie with the fox in peace!

  6. Goodness, I wouldn’t like that either, a cruel part of life for sure.
Thankful for Jesus’ perfect blood, shed for the fall of humanity—one day there will be only shrieks of joy!! The victory is His already.❤️

  7. I know you have a heart for older saints! Grateful you got to meet with them today! Yikes I hope your time over at Toyota goes more smooth and quickly. I too am amaze at times at how parents don’t think unruly kids is a problem; like I do know kids can be unruly but when parents don’t even try to parent, that’s a problem!

  8. I didn’t do long range pastoral visitation today; last few weeks have taken a break from that to take my daughters one on one to get pastry and spend one on one time with them; however I will be having brother Erik over at my house to make up for the pastoral visitation, as he’s doing research to teach our kids about woke and race issue for our youth group eventually; he’s going to bring his books but also be over with me to talk about things related to his studies on this. I’m kind of excited!

    1. That’s funny. I am watching some videos on the New Age to see if there’s anything I want to add for tomorrow. This luciferian movement is terrifying and the NAR really does look like this false light. Have you ever heard of the Lucius Trust? They’re working with the UN to promote a goodwill religion. Terrifying.
