Thank You Lord for this new month. Lord God, thank You that even when the sunrise and sunset fizzles, You never fade away. Thank You Lord that when we burn out, we know that You do not burn out. Praise You Lord that You never slumber nor sleep.
Lord God, help us to grow this month in understanding that we are stewards and not owners. Help us Lord to give our lives in service to You and to others. Lord God, help us to be a people who worship and serve You with authentic and sincere hearts. May we be a people of whole hearted devotion to You. Lord God, helps us to offer You our sacrifice of obedience willingly. Help us Lord to be a people who seek Your Kingdom first and in doing so, we will grow in rejoicing and worshiping You.
Lord God, regardless of what this reader thinks about Christmas, thank You and praise You Father for sending Your Son Jesus to be born of a virgin, taking on flesh and dwelling among sinful people. Lord God, may we meditate and reflect on the mystery and wonder of Jesus’s Incarnation more this year. Lord may we look on the manger scene with Your eyes and not our own. May we meditate and reflect that the Baby in the Manger grew to become the Suffering Servant who paid our sin debt on the Cross. Lord may we never separate the Incarnation from the Resurrection.
Lord God, help us to end 2021 well. Lord God, impress on us that this world is not our home. Lord God, prepare our hearts to meet Jesus whether it be through death or rapture, prepare us to see our King in His Beauty. Lord God, may we strive to love You more this month. May we strive to obey You more this month. Lord, may we seek ways to serve You. Lord God, thank You that You do not call us to do life alone. While the Internet has many, many ills, thank You Lord that it does provide us with a means of connecting with others.
Lord God, with all the turmoil, darkness and chaos that is rampant in the world today, help Your people to be wise and discerning. Help us to exercise common sense and to hold everything we read, hear and see up to the Light of Scripture. Lord God, may we not fear new variants, geopolitical issues, societal and economic collapses but rather view them with an end time lens. Lord God, may we not bury our heads in the sand, but to face what is to come in Your strength and with Your mind.
Lord God, thank You for this reader. Lord, thank You for the opportunity to get to know some of my fellow bloggers outside of WordPress. What a gift and joy this community is to my life. Lord God, for the reader who does not know Christ, stir their heart toward You. Lord God, thank You and praise You for the gift of salvation. Thank You Jesus for Your first coming (Advent) and prepare our hearts for Your second coming. Thank You Lord for this reader. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

Thank you, Mandy, for a prayer that lifted my heart closer to our Lord in worship and praise and humility. I like this: “Lord may we never separate the Incarnation from the Resurrection,” a truth worth pondering and praying.
Blessings to you this day, sister, and mega-hugs! May God’s power and wisdom rest upon you always.

I am SO thankful the Incarnation and Resurrection spoke to your heart as well! I was reminded in Dr. Kim’s Systematic Theo class when he asked us, “what is the greatest event in human history: the Incarnation or the Resurrection?” We then had to write a paper defending our position. There was no “right” answer for the paper, Dr Kim wanted to see us think through, wrestling with the question and make a thorough defense of our position. I look at the Incarnation and Resurrection like the Trinity itself, when I think of the One, I need to think of the Three and when I think of the Three I need to think of the One. I am thankful for you, Dora! I am thankful for the love and encouragement that you pour out on me and I pray to do the same for you!!!!! Lots of love, hugs and blessings!!!!!!!

Great insights here. Especially in relation to the Trinity. With the incarnation: God became Man; with the resurrection: Man entered Heaven. Both truths must be held together for their full import. Thank you, Mandy. ❤️

Hey, Mama Linda! Thank you for your prayers! You are the best!!!!! I am home now after a rough return. It was a new plane and so the climate control didn’t work well and poor PQ was so, so hot. We were able to take him out of his bag to attempt to get him some air. I have thought about taking him to the Vet since he doesn’t seem like himself. Anyway, that’s way more than you ever wanted to know!!!! How are things out your way?!

Awww, dear Mandy. You are so kind. I’m glad you are home but sorry it was so rough. Our fur babies are like our children, so I know that must have hurt your heart terribly to see PQ so miserable on the hot plane. I said a prayer for PQ as soon as I read this comment. I was getting ready to write a reply, to let you know this wasn’t too much information at all, when our newest little dog needed my attention. She has no patience for waiting!
I pray your precious little dog will be better soon. Please let me know how he does.

Thank you, Frank! There is so much noise coming at everyone right now and the only way that we can truly cope is to hold it up to the Scripture! I am thankful that you (Michael and Jimmy as well) are not afraid to engage with current culture!

RE: leaves
Yesterday was a mild day here in ROC and I was able to get up on the roof and blow out the gutters. I also collected one tarpload from the front entranceway where the leaves tend to swirl and collect. But no tarps from the backyard. The remaining leaves are clinging tightly to the trees.

Amen Mandy! Beautiful prayer and much needed for so many of us! On a previous post you said you had visited your mum for Thanksgiving (I was going to comment but it would not allow) I just hope and pray that she can fly and see you on the 10th December… God just made a way for me to see my Dad through all impossibilities, I pray He will do the same for your mother. God bless to you, Nathan and PQ!
