Sunset 15 January 2022

Lord God, thank You for Your faithfulness. Lord God, whatever troubles this reader today, I ask Lord that You fill them with peace. Lord, for the reader who is ill, I ask that You will heal them as You see fit. Lord God, for the reader who is rejoicing, may their praise be acceptable to You.

Thank You Lord for each day You give us to live for You. Thank You that in our sleeplessness we can cry out to You in prayer. Lord God, as no two sunsets are the same, thank You and praise You that You have created each person unique.

Lord God, for the reader who is far from You, draw this reader to Yourself by grace through faith in Christ while there is still time. Thank You Lord for this reader. Thank You for our identity and position in Christ. Bless this reader and encourage them, as You have blessed and encouraged me. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

    1. Thank you, Alan! It is -8C right now and feels like -12. I am SO thankful for the colors God paints His sky with in the morning and evening! I used to be more of a sunset gal, but the more I grow in Christ, the more I love to greet the Lord and dawn with my song! Do you have a preference of either sunrise or sunset?! Love and blessings to you and Susan!

      1. I have always preferred sunsets. As a young lad I used to go on evening walks just as the sun was beginning to set, and finish in the darkness. The fields and Woodlands are so beautiful at that time of day.

  1. What wonderful photos and a stunning prayer. Love this: “Lord God, as no two sunsets are the same, thank You and praise You that You have created each person unique.”

Thanks for being unique and so encouraging.

    Blessings for a wonderful Sunday!

    1. Amen Annie to God being a God of order! Praise God that He is unique and incomparable, yet through faith in Christ we can approach Him. How amazing it will be when we one day dwell with God and there will be no sun because we will be with the Son who is the Light! Love, hugs and blessings!!!

  2. Yes, this is a wonderful sunset. I am more of a sunrise person myself. I like to wake up an hour or two before most of the world. It’s a great time to spend with God—if you are a morning person. I always enjoy your prayers, Mandy! God Bless.

    1. I love the morning as well, David! It is wonderful for my soul to greet the Lord and dawn with a song of praise! The sunrise means a lot to me! I also like running errands first thing in the morning, much less people!!! Thank you for praying with me!

      1. We are wintering well Mandy. Lost some family this winter(old age stuff) but they are with their Lord. Fish are biting and it finally got above zero so it’s warm for now. I’m doing music once again in life. leading worship on keyboards, hoping to record a few originals this year but hopefully holding off getting too busy.
Oh and hopefully building a little cabin (this coming summer) in the woods (rustic) for guests that have wanted to visit. Keep taking pictures!

You are free to email me anytime at als0810@comcast.net I was going to contact you via your blog to see how you were doing because I haven’t seen a post from ya lately. Anyway, love you and keep smiling for Jesus!!! (Read with humor!) As women who love to smile isn’t it amazing that we are married to men who aren’t smilers?!
