April 2022 Prayer

Lord God, as both spiritual and physical wars rage on, help us to fight these wars and to not lose heart. Lord God, prepare us for our unknown battles and trials that You will have us face in this new month.

Lord God, thank You that Satan is a defeated foe. Thank You that for those who are in Christ while we can be harassed and attacked, we belong to You and You live in us. Lord God, as the days get darker, may we be reminded that Your light shines bright. May we never forget that Your Word is a light and a lamp. Lord God, may Your people put aside petty differences and seek Your Kingdom first.

Lord God, may we defend Your Word more than our earthly political beliefs. Lord, help us to discern truth from error. Lord God, I beg You to help us to be charitable to our brothers and sisters in Christ who have different conclusions and opinions. May we help people process what is happening in culture with the Truth of Your Word. Lord God, help us to love and trust You more this month.

Lord God, thank You for this reader. Lord, draw this reader closer to Yourself in this new month. Lord God, help this reader to steward all that You have entrusted to them for Your glory. Lord for the reader who does not know Christ and is longing to make sense of this world, may today be their day of salvation.

May we never forget that freedom isn’t free. Christ died to set us free from sin; may we live and praise Him for His finished work on the Cross. Help us to live as a people with hope in this new month. Thank You Lord that nothing and no one can stop You from being the Sovereign Triune God. Thank You Lord that each day, month and year is a fresh opportunity to love and serve You. Lord, may Your people love You more this month. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

  1. How I look forward to, and enjoy reading, these prayers – and saying AMEN!!!

My childhood wasn’t great. I don’t intend ever returning to my childhood home or city.

But, that city is very old, and has a great motto: “Out of darkness cometh light!”

your prayer reminds of those times we look back on which aren’t great, for any of a hundred reasons. But it also reminds me that out of darkness, cometh light.

Amen once more to your power packed prayer!

  2. “Thank You that for those who are in Christ while we can be harassed and attacked, we belong to You and You live in us.” Praying this today thru spiritual harassment.
“Lord God, may we defend Your Word…” praying this always in an apostate and rebellious world.
Thank you Mandy, I’m alongside you in this month’s petition to God. ❤

  3. Such a cool picture! Is this from this year or past years’ Cherry Blossom? Thanks for sharing. Good prayer. It is spiritual warfare. Prayer for unity on what’s important among Christians are so needed these days

  4. Mandy, thank you for the timely prayer. Yes, may we have the right priorities – spiritual over political! – although there are times in this crazy world that the line between them is blurred. There is definitely spiritual warfare these days, but thanks for reminding us that Satan is already defeated. As my pastor friend in India has said, “We do not pray for victory, we are praying from the position of victory!” 🙂 Have a blessed April. – Annie

  5. Thank you for your contribution in the comment talking about that verse from Isaiah and reasoning! Answering your question in terms of teaching my kids we are at Exodus 14; today I took a break from that since I went to sleep at 5:30 to finish the outline and didn’t get to study the passage for a lesson on Exodus 14; so we did the London Baptist Confession of faith with the first paragraph on God’s Decrees. I am right now working with the older one with homeschool with math and for some reason this textbook lesson today was on algebra….for a fourth grader! Oh well, better a little intro than being behind I supposed!
