Blue Collar Theologian

My name is Mandy Sweigart-Quinn, I live in Lancaster, PA and I am a “Blue Collar Theologian.” I love Jesus! I am passionate about His Word (The Holy Bible)! I come alive when I can encourage others in their walk with Jesus (whether by writing or speaking). As a “Blue Collar Theologian” it is my aim to live/practice/work out my Christian hope with sincerity, authenticity and genuineness. As a “Blue Collar Theologian,” I strive to meet people right where they are (“Incarnational Theology”). I graduated in May 2019 from Capital Seminary and Graduate School with a Master's in Biblical Studies. I am a passionate, excited and enthusiastic person! I love flowers, sports and sunsets. Since January 2, 2018 I have had the privilege of being married to Nathan.

  1. Really? Our weather forecast says we’re going to hit 101 degrees today. And it’s only May 7! Very weird weather.

      1. I know, I just checked the weather report for your area. Then I checked the weather for all the areas in the country where my grown children and grandchildren live. From San Diego, CA, to Spokane, WA, to Boston, MA, everyone’s temperatures are going to be no higher than the low 50s today… but we’re going to be in the 100s. Wow!

      2. It’s going to get colder as the day progresses here. I’m in hill country for the weekend, between Altoona and Penn State. We need the rain! You’re so right about strange weather!!!! Praise God He knows and controls it all!

      3. Amen. Please say a prayer for New Mexico, there are wild fires out of control all over, our skies are often full of smoke. Thousands of people have been evacuated. I really don’t like fire. Also, please say a little prayer for my heart.I’m wearing a portable heart monitoring device that my doctor ordered, because I have been having some problems. I was diagnosed with a heart condition about 29 years ago, and it seems to have gotten worse. Last night, I had a very bad episode of arrhythmia, thought I wasn’t going to make it. Good thing I was wearing this device, so there will be a record of that.

  2. I sympathize with everyone’s discomfort, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the humor in the various comments. 🙂 At winter’s end, we left our home in South Florida in the mid-80s and returned to our Maryland home in the mid-20s. Slowly, we’ll warm up!

  3. Thanks for the real time video, good to see you Mandy! And so true, whether you’re fishing for fish or for men, you never know what the conditions will be!
Hope you and Nathan caught some good ones!

    1. We caught nothing and I am praying we don’t catch a cold! It was tough out there today, no lie! But God teaches me SO many spiritual lessons through fishing! Evangelism is HARD work, it’s not easy! It’s getting harder by the day, but we are not to shrink back in fear, we are not to fear the hardened atheist nor are we to fear persecution. Light does and will overcome the darkness, and that light is named Jesus. Love you so much Lisa!!!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏🙏

      1. Sorry you missed the fish! Was thinking of you and Nathan at Wholefoods fish counter today.
Nothing like fresh fish from the water to the pan! Have a good Sunday anyway!

  4. You sure nailed it Mandy. The conditions for fishing and the conditions for evangelism. God often has us experience a truth physically to help us understand a spiritual truth or condition. As far as dressing for the occasions we all need the “armor”

we are celebrating slowly and laying low as all 3 of us in the house have everyone’s favorite virus. we were prepared with treatments so in a couple days all will be good.

      1. Yep very hot and I already got sun burned 😅 I stopped classes for now as I’m focusing on the book. I still speak it every day with my wife and friends so have nor stopped practicing, I find this is the best way to learn and keep it up. Hope it warms up for you there! We can swap temperatures if you want 😆. God bless 😊
