Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
(Psalm 46:10 ESV)

Lord God, in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty, help us to pause and meditate on You. Lord God, may we not let the sun go down on our anger. Lord God, may Your peace prevail in Your peoples lives, even when the storms and trials rage.

Lord God, may Your people love You and desire You more each day. May Your people be reminded that You will vindicate Yourself; You do not ask Your people to take vengeance into our own hands.

Lord God, as I pray sitting around the fire, I ask that You will remind us that the judgment that is coming will reveal our our hearts and actions. Lord You are an all consuming fire, may we never take Your grace and mercy for granted. Praise You Jesus that one day all the nations will bow before You.

Thank You Lord for this reader. May the glow of the sun and fire point this reader to the True Son, the One who paid it all. Lord, what a gift it is to have people to pray for! Even when we may be annoyed or agitated, thank You Lord for the opportunity to commune with You in prayer and interceding for others. Bless this reader as only You can. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

  1. Praying with you Mandy! Very true, the Triune GOD will be exalted and glorified now on earth, in the end of days, and in the new beginning in Heaven. We pray that revenge will be limited to travel and nothing else. Blessings to you, Nathan, and your parents!

    1. Hi, Tom!!!!! Thank you so much for praying with me!!!!! What a gift!!! I hope y’all have a blessed day too! I am going to read your latest installment on Broussard today. My sinus headache couldn’t handle his pontificating on Petrine supremacy; God gives you grace to not go crazy with that stuff! I am glad to see your Padres are having a good season so far, beat LA!!!

      1. Thanks, Mandy! Hope your sinus headache passes quickly! I appreciate your feedback on the Broussard book #2 series. It’s quite revealing that he devotes the first 22 (29%) of the 77 “Protestant comebacks” to Petrine primacy/papal authority. For RCs, it’s all about the institution rather than Jesus Christ.

The Padres were doing well until they played your Phillies. They’re in desperate need of Machado and Tatis.

  2. Sounds like you’re peeking in my prayer closet! Thank you for these vital pleas, will be rereading them.
“…as I pray sitting around the fire…” I thought you meant the fire of the Holy Spirit! 😀
May we all sit around that Fire!

    1. That is a bold statement, Lisa!!! I am going to be intentional in visualizing sitting around the fire of the Holy Spirit!!!! May I be in His presence with an attitude that is humble, receptive to teaching and correction and that will be filled by Him. Lisa, you are in my prayers very, very much!!!!! 🤗🤗🤗

is there anything more encouraging in scripture when we think of the future and the troubles we see growing around us?

excellent prayer – thanks for this, as usual!

    1. Thank you for praying with me, Andy! This is one of Nathan’s favorite verses and as we were watching the sunset and the little bluebird on the tree I was like be still Mandy, be still. Nathan does that so much better than I do!!! How are things on your side of the pond?!

      1. We’re mostly ok as a family, although is overly busy (127% capacity…)

I’d probably describe it as sunny spells, with some heavy clouds in the distance – that may pass by, so bring a heavy duty umbrella just in case

We’re ok really. Just very aware that the next 6-9 months in the UK are gonna be ever tougher as colder weather bites, with people already struggling due to their energy bills tripling, with car fuel costs shooting up too…many have already been choosing eating or heating or getting to work, to keep a job that does bot earn them nearly enough anymore….utility companies are making record profits, and one food bank had people queuing down the road and around the corner….

I know we have much in the UK…but I don’t think the mood is great over here right now…2 years or COVID and now we’re looking at levels of food and fuel poverty we haven’t seen for, perhaps, decades

People need Jesus SO much…He is the only source of hope moving forwards

I’m actually fairly upbeat….but the outlook for the UK is a little bleak looking ahead…so much fear and sadness and anxiety – it is quite visible and palpable.

        Sorry for the heavy reply

        To sum up

        We’re ok as a family.
Life may get rough over here.
        People need Jesus.
        Heaven will be awesome!

      2. Your sum up is fantastic. People in the States are suffering and it is only going to increase. People do need Jesus. I am also grieved by the apostasy. God is male, period. Doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love females! God is revealing hearts and minds Andy and if we are grieved and incensed I can’t imagine how much more he is!

      3. Not sure how to agree enough with your words ☺️

We either take the bible as it is or we don’t…

Yes God is male by His own words too…the apostasy and blasphemy is so upsetting. But not unexpected.

I’ve just unfriended an old friend on Facebook – a minister. He was always very liberal, but his sad lament about the overturning of roe v wade being overturned was too much…I don’t have time to waste with such ridiculously umbilical beliefs

      1. Just a family get together. 26 is about half of us. They come from far and wide. I’ll take the grandsons fishing this weekend. I went out last night and marked a few spots for blue gill for the kids. Took home a couple meals of walleye and pike for a fish fry with the kids (in case they don’t catch enough). If we get 6 boats on our lake they call it crazy.

      2. No, buddy is our handicapped daughters dog. Even though we take care of the dog and Tania gets to love on him either and there. Buddy doesn’t get out except for walks and riding in the pickup or ATV. Buddy would self destruct by jumping out. Earlier today he wanted desperately to chase a bear off our deck. that’s 4 bear in 6 days in our yard. two on the deck.

    1. No worries Mandy. I actually laughed at your question. My daughter does not trust me as I sometimes call the little dog “Musky bait”
All in good fun of course. I don’t dare call him “bear bait” though as bear season is coming up in September.

  4. Gorgeous pictures, Mandy! And what a good reminder that God will vindicate Himself! BTW, I have not forgotten about praying sometime. I have just ended up being busier than I thought I’d be. I’ll email you.

  5. Answering your question: YEs I heard about the Army now not requiring high school diploma. I heard all the services have been failing recruitment goals; that’s crazy to think that with 2 decades of war on terror they had overall recruited people but post-Afghanistan under Biden, not so much…he’s a demoralizer and plus how many types of people that want to join military want to be in an instutional woke organization these days.

      1. We are doing nothing other than having our own fire pit so that no one burns our yard. Our neighbors just got done setting off fireworks. Plus, 22 years and many deployments, Nathan and fireworks don’t mix. I hope you have a great time with your mommy!!!!
