July 2022 Prayer

Lord God, may we hunger and thirst for You more this month. Lord God, there is no denying this world is changing: from weather patterns, to governments, to war and rumors of war, to famines, food shortages and inflation. Lord, revive us with the promises of Your Word.

Lord God, much of what we see and hear is negative, help us to counter this world’s evil with Your Good News. Lord God, there is so much wickedness in this world and I ask that You help Your people to live victorious and not defeated.

Remind us Lord that You are aware of the trials that we face. Remind us Lord that You will never waste our hurts when we surrender them to You. Lord, help us to learn to forgive more this month. Help us to encourage others more this month. Help us to put You first more this month.

Lord God, I pray for my brothers and sisters with health issues, I ask Lord for Your calming peace to fill each of them. Lord God, for our brothers and sisters who are having marital issues, I ask Lord for patience and listening hearts. Lord, I ask that Your grace and mercy will be what Your people cling to in this month.

Thank You and praise You Jesus that each day is one day closer to Your return. Lord God, thank You for this reader. May this month be one of personal growth and reflection. Lord, help this reader prepare in whatever manner You lead them. Lord, prepare our hearts for what You want to do in and through us. Lord God, may this believer reflect Christ in all they do. We thank You and we love You Lord. Thank You again for this reader. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

    1. Since I started this blog I have felt led to pray to start the new month. I have to say, this was the first time in almost 4 years where I was like let’s call a spade a spade. The Christian life while it is an abundant and fruitful life, still is a life marred by pain and trials. As Christians we would be fake to not acknowledge that. But with God the things of this life do not need to consume us or tank us. We acknowledge them and we cling to Christ. We don’t hope for the things of this world to get better we hope in Christ’s return and bringing glory to Him. I love you Lisa. I am praying for you and I pray to see you in person sooner rather than later!

      1. Lol. Sorry, I should have put it in plain English. Years ago I was diagnosed with a heart condition where the heart muscle is too thick to function properly. Lately, I have been having some alarming heart arrhythmia. I also fainted a few weeks ago, when I wasn’t doing anything strenuous to cause me to faint. My primary care doctor ordered a 48 hour portable heart monitor, which recorded some alarming heart misfires. She sent me to a heart specialist, who ordered more tests. I was expecting to be told that my heart condition had grown worse over the years, and that now I needed a pace maker, or maybe surgery to open a blockage. But no… my too thick heart muscle is now almost 100% normal! The only problem the heart doctor found was high blood pressure, which can cause fainting and the heart arrhythmia, so he prescribed a medication to bring my blood pressure down and hopefully solve the problems I have been having. Praise God my heart muscle is healed!!

      1. RE: No AC
Ach. I feel for Nathan. In part of my long stint at Kodak, for 9 years I worked in an old warehouse building that had no AC in the summer and very little heat in the winter.

Thanks! Nothing planned for today, although Corinne wants to see fireworks tonight. I’d just as soon not because I go to bed at 9PM, the time the fireworks usually start.
Do you have cookout plans for today?

      2. We have NO plans today with anyone today, praise the Lord! I know that sounds awful!! We went for a walk with PQ and will just relax for the rest of the day. Last night our neighbor whom I am not a fan of set off fireworks. If you do take your bride to see fireworks I hope you enjoy them, if not enjoy your evening at home!

      1. Won’t be able to make to see them play the Cardinals. We get them here for the 4th! I had tickets for last weekend with the Dodgers but sold them when our vacation plans finalized. The Braves are looking good though.

    1. Thanks, Andy! I am so thankful that we have a God who hears, sees and answers. There is so much that I can rant about. I am thankful that God takes my/our rants and turns them into praise for who He is, what He will do based on what He’s done in the past. So thankful that we are on this Jesus journey together! Whether in the UK or the USA this global village and instant communication is still producing ripe fruit. I am eager to join the next uk Skype time!!!!

  1. Mandy, your prayer comes at the perfect time for me this morning. Last night, after mowing the yard, I had the biggest craving for a hot fudge sundae. I just HAD to have one from the local ice cream store. Later, God whispered, “Do you want fellowship with me as much as you want ice cream?” Ouch!

  2. Amen Mandy!! What a prayer warrior you are, love your wise words to our Father!

These words (below) stuck out to me in your prayer as I too look forward to the day of Jesus’ return and can sometimes feel impatient in the chaos and waiting, but what a great way to think of it in a glass half full, rather than glass half empty kind of way!..

“Thank You and praise You Jesus that each day is one day closer to Your return.”

  3. Answering your question: Busy today with lots of mini-errands and answering question and asking people question! Concerning the car it is working but with the shop fixing things it seems the power is now low and AC isn’t the same strong AC power as before. Thanks for asking Mandy!
