November 2022 Prayer

Lord God, thank You for this new month. Thank You and praise You Lord that Your Word does NOT return void! Thank You Lord that You will complete Your Work in us. Lord, help us to be mindful that we do our work in Your strength and not our own. Thank You Lord that Your grace is sufficient and that You give us the energy that we need to complete Your Work. Help us Lord to be focused more on You this month.

Lord God, many countries are having elections this month, help us to trust You and Your rule more than in the rule of man. Lord God, thank You and praise You there will be a day when every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to Your glory Father.

Lord God, guide this reader. May this reader draw closer to You and to their loved ones this month. Lord God, many countries celebrate some form of Thanksgiving this month, help Your people Lord to be thankful and grateful each day.

Lord God, remind us more this month that the faith You call us to is not a blind faith, but a reasoned faith. Yes, we walk by faith and not by sight; however, You call us to be discerning and to exercise common sense. Help us to have more discernment and common sense this month!

Lord God, prepare our minds, hearts and hands to suffer for You. This is not easy for me to write, and in all honesty Lord, You know that I would like to delete this last sentence, but I know that it is true. Lord God, You do not call us to be naive about the hardships of this life. This life is NOT easy and it is even more difficult without Christ. Thank You and praise You Jesus that Your burden is easy and light. Thank You Jesus that when we come to You we will find rest for our weary souls.

Thank You and praise You Lord that Your shalom, Your peace is one of wholeness. It is completeness. No matter what we are facing, no matter our physical, mental and emotional deficiencies, weaknesses, and shortcomings we are complete and whole in Christ. Lord, may this reader not lose sight of who they are in Christ this month.

What a blessing and a relief it is Father to know that Your Son and His Work on the Cross has reconciled us to You by grace through faith.

Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit sealing us. Lord, may we meditate on what it means to be sealed with Your Spirit more this month. Lord God, for those who are sealed with Your Spirit, You are indwelling them, while the devil and his agents can harass believers, remind this believer that it is absolutely impossible for them to be possessed by anyone or anything other than You. Lord, may we never forget that greater are You who is in us, than the devil who is in this world.

Lord God, strengthen Your people all over the world to fear You rather than their circumstances. I know this is easier said than done. Help us Lord to live as victorious and Spirit-indwelled and Spirit-empowered people. Not for show or for greater gain, but out of obedience to You. Help us to obey You more this month. Help us to love You more this month.

Reveal to us Lord what we are holding too tightly. Remind Your people, including myself, that anything we hold too tightly, You will remove from us. And that removal is usually painful. Lord, help us to be cheerful givers in all aspects. Help us to give ourselves away, to show people the love of Christ more this month, even if we get hurt and suffer for it.

Lord, thank You for the opportunity to live in a day and age where we can pray so openly and publicly with one another. Lord God, may this reader be encouraged and strengthened through this prayer. Lord, convict us where we need to be convicted. Help us to bless others and to be strong for our weaker brothers and sisters where there are needs. May we learn to love You and others more this month.

Thank You again Lord for this reader. Thank You again for this new month. Lead us and guide us Lord. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

  1. I am grateful you did not delete the comment about suffering. Speaking the truth is always the best course of action, even when it is hard. Since I know you are enjoying your class in Greek, your speaking the truth was very καλό (good)!

  2. Amen! Love this: “Lord God, remind us more this month that the faith You call us to is not a blind faith, but a reasoned faith. 1. Shalom, Michael! I am so thankful for you!!! Yes, Let’s Go Phillies!!!! I was going to blog about my experience last night, but I think I will wait until tomorrow. I have learned that Fox is the one that decided to not move the game up on Thursday to either 1pm or 4pm so as to not compete with the NFL. It is absurd they did not keep today as game 4 and tomorrow as game 5 and then Thursday would be game 3 so the only day that got messed up was yesterday. My brother has a hotel for game 4, but since that was supposed to be tonight he is having a difficult time getting room because of all of this. Another thing that is ridiculous regarding Fox is that since the Eagles are playing Thursday night, Fox is selling the rights to air the game to another station. Why would you do that?! I”m sure you already know this but for the person who may read this and doesn’t know, Thursday night is on Amazon Prime, local teams always air their games on local stations, they do not get blacked out. So, Fox was the one who had the Eagles Texans game now it will either be CBS or ABC, highly doubt NBC. Anyway, it just goes to show NONE of this has to do with the fans of either sport, but with TV and big business!!!!

  3. A good prayer to pray for our times Mandy. I pray all is well with you guys, schooling and all.
I am sadly winterizing the boat today.
Praying for our countries course to include God, family and loving our neighbor as much as ourselves.

    1. Hi, Gary! I am in agreement with all you said! Nathan winterized the boat that him and I use together last weekend 😭😭😭 he still has his little John boat and canoe but he said the water temp is colder this year than he can remember for this time of year. Praise God Spring always follows every wintry season, literally and figuratively. I am so thankful for you, Gary!

  4. Amen, echoing your prayer!!

I woke up with the words ‘every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord’ in my heart this morning..very neat how God reiterates with His encouragement as I came across those words again later this morning in your prayer!! He is so good like that!! I’ve really been praying for the unbelievers that they may not waste another moment away and come to our Lord, may today be the day they make that step. May they not miss the opportunity.

    1. Amen, Alicia!!! That is what is on my heart is well! I woke up and I was like Lord, Your Word will not return void, and that we need to continue to share Your Word so that more people will know You. 1. Yes, yes, yes and He is able to do immeasurably more than we even ask!!

Oh the jeep..so it’s a 2000 so a little rough here and there but paid off and is fun to run around town taking care of errands..I just have to be careful because if I wear slick shoes my foot wants to slide off the clutch because it’s only metal, the padding must’ve came off at some point in its journey! (First-world problems you know..boy we always find something to complain over😬🤦‍♀️)

      2. Hey, Alicia!!! If you get this tape it will help your foot not slide off the clutch. Just cut it to the size of your clutch. You may have to reapply it every few months but it definitely works! https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Tape-Waterproof-Traction-Staircases/dp/B08F7DKTD4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=3DT3UKFL7L3X7&keywords=safety+grip+tape&qid=1667388210&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjU0IiwicXNhIjoiNC4zOSIsInFzcCI6IjQuMjMifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=grip+safety%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1

  5. Your moving prayers touch my heart and lead me in humility to the Throne of Grace. “Help us to give ourselves away, to show people the love of Christ more this month, even if we get hurt and suffer for it.” This reminded me of 1 John 4:18. You are a precious gift, Mandy. A woman after God’s own heart by His grace and in His Spirit. May you thrive in the abundant life He has given you, as a branch in the Vine.

    1. Dora, this is the kindest thing anyone could say to me, wow, thank you and God bless you! I am so thankful for you, more than you will ever know. I am so thankful for the opportunity to pray with you and for you. Thank you for your prayers for me and for listening to me! I love you very much!!!!

  6. Amen, Mandy! Thanks so much for the prayer. I think the hardest thing for Americans is to get ready to suffer. We are so used to our freedom and our comforts, and some of us want to be liked by everybody. :/ I have started praying (reminding myself) daily that if I follow Jesus well, I will be like Him. And if I am like Him, I will be hated by the people who hate Him – even the majority of people – and I have to be OK with that. I STILL want to be identified with Him. ❤

    1. Hi, Papa Tom!!!!! Thank you for praying with me!!!!! I am SO happy that you are done with work, what a relief!!!! How are the leaves doing in your area? Ours are starting to fall all at one time. Will you document your campaign and conquest this year?!

      1. Thanks, Mandy! It’s great to be retired, but I think I’m still in semi-disbelief. It won’t hit me completely until Friday morning comes and I get to stay home..
Last year the leaves held on for a longer time, but this year they’re dropping on schedule. I’ve dragged 15 tarps to the curb so far, so about 55 more to go. Yup, I’ll be dropping a 2022 Leaf Campaign post this weekend.

  8. Amen. I’m having a busy few days, so forced myself to slow for a moment – to read through your prayer.

Sometimes reading a prayer written by someone else can be so very liberating!! More so when you struggle for the words yourself.

    Thankyou!!

  9. Amen Mandy! What a beautiful, heartfelt and uplifting prayer! Yes you mention some difficult things but this is the truth! We will face trials in this life but Christ is with us and gives us strength! Much love to you, Nathan and PQ

  10. Well, I’m laying under my yorhun reading this and, after the 1st few lines I said, thats it, I need to pray to “do our work in Your strength and not our own”. But then I found a need in every paragraph!
I will pray November prayer during the whole month. Thank you sister, I hope all is well with Nathan and cutie PQ. ❤

  11. Sweet prayer! Haven’t been praying for the election but I need to. Praying also for common sense; better yet for Christians to have wisdom in this day and age beginning with the fear of God. Much needed prayer!

  12. We DO need to be prepared to suffer for our faith, since countless souls have done so in the past. Why should we be exempt? But over and over again I’ve read how God has supernaturally carried people through horrific circumstances. We can count on him to do the same when it’s our turn. The reward of eternity in heaven with him will more than make up for whatever we may have to endure. (Remind me of that if severe persecution occurs in our lifetimes!)

    1. What a week, I will cry and fall before the Lord when this semester is over. This discourse analysis has nothing to do with Greek and there is so much nuance and lack of agreement amongst these folks. How’s your week? Are you having duck for Thanksgiving?!

      1. Ah Discourse Analysis…I need to read a textbook on it; there’s been some commentaries using DA but all the guys I met who are working on MA and talk about DA seems well loopy lol. Week is going good, praying for you for strength for the semster to be over and well! Thanksgiving I do want to eat duck lol good memory!
