February 2023 Prayer

Lord God, thank You for this new month. Lord God, may we allow You to lead us and guide us this month. Lord God, help us to listen to Your voice. Lord God, may we allow You to prepare us for all that You have planned for us this month.

Remind us that this world is not our home. As geopolitical issues increase, help us to process what we are hearing and seeing alongside Scripture. Lord God, thank You that Your Holy Spirit will help us and strengthen us when we are tested and persecuted for our faith.

Lord God, may we allow You to put the persecuted church on our hearts more this month. Lord God, help Your people to grow in discernment more this month.

Lord God, I pray against evil agendas that are attempting to infiltrate sound churches. Lord God, I ask that You would give people wisdom and discernment when it comes to the pastors they follow and the worship music they listen to.

Lord God, I pray for the people who are followers of Andy Stanley. What a sad and tragic figure he has become in the church. Lord God, open Your peoples eyes to see what is happening in the world. Lord God, may we never place any person or thing above You and Your Word. May we be more enthralled with Your Good News than with anything this world has to offer.

Lord God, thank You for this reader. Thank You Lord that even when we do not know what to pray we can have confidence that Jesus is interceding on our behalf. Lord God, help us to grow in praying for others. Open our eyes to see the needs around us. May we be intentional about finding ways to share Jesus with others.

Lord God, for my brothers and sisters who have physical, mental, emotional afflictions, I ask Lord God for You to heal them spiritually and to help them endure the trial and season they are in. Thank You and praise You Father that our trials will not last forever!

Lord God, thank You again for this reader! Lord God, may this reader love You more deeply and fully this month. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

  1. I am praying with you on this. “Lord God, I pray for the people who are followers of Andy Stanley. What a sad and tragic figure he has become in the church. Lord God, open Your peoples eyes to see what is happening in the world. Lord God, may we never place any person or thing above You and Your Word. May we be more enthralled with Your Good News than with anything this world has to offer.”

    It is an abomination.

    Blessings.

      1. I agree it’s not evangelical, hence the quotation marks. Andy Stanley is a wolf in plain sight. I believe you when you say he has “serious daddy issues.” Are one of Andy’s campuses near where you live?

  2. I pray you and Nathan have been wintering well Mandy. There is much to pray about where ever we live. I pray we would thrive in Christ. Thrive in our character being molded by God, thrive in God’s wisdom and give up ours for his. Thrive in experiencing God’s ministry increases as they are bigger than ours could ever be. Yes…much to pray about.

    1. That’s a great prayer, Gary! I have been praying personally to be more present with the Lord. To be more present with people and with nature and to not allow myself to be addicted to distractions!!!! I am thankful for you, Gary! Last few nights on our evening walk we have heard a barn owl and I think of you and being a wise owl in my life!!!! Much love and blessings to you and your family!!!!

      1. Thanks Mandy. Speaking of owls, it seems our ermine was a snack for one of the owls here. I took a picture of his last tracks in the snow. They just end. he was pushed down into the snow a bit and lifted up up and away…I guess we all assume life will go longer than the next walk

  3. Thank You Mandy. Beautiful prayer beginning a new month.

I love Dr. Stanley, hopefully he has a talk with Andy!

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Blessings to You, Nathan, PQ and your readers 😇🙏

      1. Hey!! Oh my goodness that darn Jeep… it’s funny that you asked me that because I thought she was gonna leave me stranded this morning…all of a sudden my airbag light came on, my check engine light came on after that and then my speedometer dropped to zero, so I pulled over, shut it off and then restarted it and it seems fine now but we shall see🤪maybe it’s getting temperamental in its old age!!

  4. Thank you for this good prayer, Mandy! Lord bless you this month.
p.s., it’s a frivolous postscript, but I’m happy for you the Eagles are headed to the SB! That should be quite a game.

      1. Thanks! We’re doing fine for an ol’ retired couple. How are you and Nathan doing? That had to be pandemonium at the Linc with such a lopsided win. I think it’s going to be an excellent Super Bowl, but the Eagles have the advantage going in.

      2. I am beyond excited, my dad and I will be in Glendale. Nathan didn’t want to go, it’s too many people and mayhem for him. I was stunned when my dad said he got tix!!!!!!!! Never in my life did I think I would get to see Philly wins both in the NLCS and NFC. For young kids growing up Philly fans they need to know this isn’t the norm!!! Even if the Eagles lose, Andy Reid has an obvious spot in my heart!!! Glad to hear you and Corinne are doing well. I sure hope it’s warmer in your neck of the woods!!!!

      3. Wow! That’s so cool that you’re going to see the Eagles in the Super Bowl! I hope the Eagles win it. I’m tired of seeing Mahomes in prime time games and on commercials. Besides that, he’s beaten the Bolts 7 of 10 tries.
Freezing here. I don’t like these 20-degree temps.

  5. Didn’t think about praying for Andy Stanley but now I did too.
Your prayer also reminded me we are Sojourners; that made me think about that with all that’s going on with our family.

    1. Amen to being sojourners. I’ll tell ya, I don’t pray for these apostate people,
I pray for those who follow them. There’s a new trailer out for American Gospel 3 Spirit and fire. Check it out when you have a chance. I fell asleep early again last night, sorry I missed study.

  6. Always love your prayers Mandy. Praying against evil infiltrating churches- Amen to that. And Andy Stanley, oh my! so very misleading. May people not fall prey to such teaching.

      1. Thank you Mandy. Summer is going good. Having hot days but not too bad.
Slowing getting back into routine over here. Bible study is back so am busy getting organised for that. Hope your classes are going ok. If there is anything specific you need prayer for let me know

  7. “Remind us that this world is not our home. As geopolitical issues increase…” Mandy, we need this mindset more than ever.
The crisis in Artsakh is now prelude to genocide. Under seige since 12/12/22, the deprivation is crippling Armenians. Azerbaijan has partnered with Israel and Pakistan (with Turkey a given) to call for annihilation of Armenians. Already posters and media are inciting this.
I’m so heavy hearted & trying to mobilize churches to pray. Already have one prayer meeting going.
I hope you are well sister, I think of you and pray for you too. ❤

      1. Thank you so much Mandy. There are Christian groups and other human rights groups, Genocide Institute, etc joining to support Armenian groups and believers.
But the politics are against us…war, warped alliances, oil, and other issues. Israeli radicals are joining with Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey for a pronounced genocide campaign. If I didn’t see the posters or read of the terror acts I would not believe it. 😥
Trying to walk close with the Lord through this and do whatever He calls me to do. Thank you again sister. ❤

  8. Yes, by the power of Jesus’ name we lay these monumental needs at your feet, Lord God. We praise You that “when we are facing the impossible, we can count upon [You}, the God of the impossible” (Amy Carmichael)! In You we find peace in the tumult, light in the darkness, courage in distress, serenity in difficulty and more! Thank you that you will equip us to remain steadfast, through Christ who strengthens us. Amen!
