April 2023 Prayer

Lord God, thank You for this new month. Lord God, please do not let Your people be fooled that this world is getting better. At the same time Lord, help Your people to not be dismayed but to trust You and all that You are doing.

Lord God, as I read current events from around the world and speak with believers from every part of the globe, two thing are certain, no place is safe and evil is rampant everywhere.

Lord God, help Your people shine brighter this month. Lord God, help Your people to stand firm this month. Lord God, may our faith be transformational rather than transactional. May we come to know You more this month.

Lord God, thank You for Your gift of salvation. Lord God, thank You that salvation is not based on my works and efforts. Lord God, thank You that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your work on the cross. Thank You for reconciling Your people to Your Father. Teach us to be more like You, Jesus.

Lord God, thank You for this reader. Fill this reader with courage, boldness and peace in this new month. Lord God, prepare us for this new month and this month for us. Teach us Lord to depend more on You. Help us be more concerned with Your kingdom than the things of this world.

Lord God, may Your people die to sin more this month. May we seek to serve others more this month. May we make less excuses this month and may we take an active interest in others more this month. Lord God, help us to humble ourselves and to be agents of peace and reconciliation. Lord God, thank You that even though community is messy, You do not call us to do life alone.

Thank You Jesus for likeminded people who love, fear and revere Your truth. May we love and stand firm in Your truth more this month. Lord God, no social program will deal with man’s sin issue, only faith in Christ sets captive hearts free. Thank You Jesus for those who will be saved this month, help us to be busy evangelizing and discipling Your people this month. May we be more present with our loved ones this month. May we grow in joy more this month.

Lord God, may we commit our paths and plans to You this month. Help us Lord to be the friend that sticks closer than a brother. Help us to reassure and comfort those with tired and weary souls. May we stand in Your love and grace more this month.

Thank You Holy Trinity for this reader. May Your peace rule and reign in their heart so that they will know and do Your will. Bless this reader Lord as only You can. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers. Thank You that we are never alone. Thank You Lord for Your grace and mercy. In Jesus’s Name I pray. Amen.

      1. Ferguson gold! Outstanding “pana-vista” sermon. 😉 Thank you for the link. He has a way of taking deep, theological topics and weaving them into a beautiful tapestry…simply. The five dimensions was a great vehicle for our Union with Christ.

Praise God He has chosen us before the foundation of the world. The depths of His love are unfathomable and rooted in Him. Makes me want to jump up and down and do my happy dance. 🙂

Here is a song, Not Home Yet, by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Eph. 1:1 ¶ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, ¶ To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Eph. 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eph. 1:3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

Eph. 1:4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

Eph. 1:5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,

Eph. 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Eph. 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

Eph. 1:8 which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight

Eph. 1:9 He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him

Eph. 1:10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him

Eph. 1:11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,

Eph. 1:12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

Eph. 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation — having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Eph. 1:14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Eph. 1:15 ¶ For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,

        Eph. 1:16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;

Eph. 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Eph. 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Eph. 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might

Eph. 1:20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph. 1:21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Eph. 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,

Eph. 1:23 which is His abody, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

  9. Your prayer paragraph about community hits home for me. I’ve been doing my blog for over 12 years now, but for some reason, I never thought to interact with other Christian bloggers until this past year, and especially in the last couple months. It’s been an encouragement to meet some new friends in the blogosphere. Keep up the good work!

    1. Praise God for His leading you to interact with fellow bloggers! I have made some really great friends through WordPress. God in His grace and mercy has allowed me to spend time with SlimJim and his family and to share with the youth at TCAC. I often wonder how Paul would use technology if he were alive today?! Thank you for taking the time to read and comment!!!!
